The bloodlust woke her again. The same thing that woke Elena every morning now. Her need for blood was so strong her entire jaw would twitch. Looking up at her bedroom window it was barely daylight outside, her clock read 5:45. Great Climbing out of bed Elena headed down to the kitchen; not long after she was turned Caroline came to her home with a small fridge specially for blood and Matt and Jeremy helped them fit it into the kitchen counters so to anyone that didn’t know it just looked like a cupboard. Opening the small fridge she pulled out one of the hundreds of blood bags, ripped it open with her teeth, poured it into a mug and put the mug into the microwave for a minute.
While she waited for her blood to heat Elena sat at the kitchen table and flipped through a magazine but quickly stopped when seeing people moan about tiny problems irritated her. ”Oh yeah your lives are so hard! Try being freaking eighteen for the rest of your life and living off blood! Then you can whine!” She grumbled at the magazine as she got up from the table when the microwave pinged.
Elena practically downed the entire mug of blood all at once. She was still learning to hone her hunger but so far it wasn’t any better than when she first turned. Her need to hunt and kill was numb now, Katherine and Caroline have been successful in helping her control her need to kill every human she seen. Katherine… helping… now those weren’t two words you’d see in a sentence every day. Elena knew that Katherine had an agenda for helping Elena in becoming a vampire but she was rather enjoying having her ancestor around. Though Elena would never admit it to anyone. She was also enjoying this new bond with Caroline too, something she lost when Caroline became a vampire but their old relationship was starting to come back. Elena was deep in thought when she sensed someone coming up the porch. In a split second Elena was beside the door, ready to pounce on whoever dared enter her home. She was also still feeling hungry so she hoped it wasn’t a human otherwise there would be serious trouble. When the front door opened Elena pounced and pinned them to the floor. Looking down at the person she frowned, ”What’re you doing here?” she asked, her hands tightening around their neck so they couldn’t move.

Katherine was awake early that morning. She was up and dressed in almost speed time, and had hunted for food and everything. Elena may not want to hurt humans, however Katherine couldn't care less. She had lived long enough to learn not to leave a trail of bodies in her wake. She could even leave her victims alive now. She compelled them to sleep and when they came to, to go and get help.
Once at a sort of reasonable time of day, especially since vampires had no need to sleep. Katherine does on occasion though. She is a woman after all. Even she needs some beauty sleep. Katherine was passing by the Gilbert house. She looked down the road for a moment and then shrugged gracefully and stepped onto the porch heading up the steps to her house. Oh the memories on this porch. She had fun confusing Damon here on this porch, first day she made herself known. Smiling at the fond memories, she opened the door and stepped inside the house.
"Ele- Oof!" Katherine started to shout when she was suddenly attacked by Elena. Her strength had improved. Though Katherine had been alive a lot longer than Elena. Smiling, in vampire speed, She grabbed Elena's wrist, pushing her off and standing up in a fluid motion. In the same motion she twisted Elena's arm behind her back tilting her wrist slightly so she couldn't escape pushing her, face first against the stairway, "Is that anyway to treat family Elena." Katherine spoke in a rather vicious voice.
After a moment she let go of Elena and sauntered her way into the living room. Rolling herself onto the sofa she stretched her limbs a little, "What has got you in such a good mood? You should go out and eat someone. Perfect time for hunting. I already snacked upon a rather tasty guy. Just perfect for breakfast."

Pinning the intruder to the floor Elena snarled and felt her face changing into the vampire form she kept forgetting she had. When she noticed it was her ancestor looking at her with shocked-but-impressed eyes she asked Katherine what she was doing in her home. Elena hoped she was going to have a manipulation-free day today. Before Elena could release her grip on Katherine she was suddenly thrown off her doppelganger, her arm twisted behind her back and Katherine tilted her hand slightly so it was painful whenever Elena tried to move, and her face was pushed into the stairs. Katherine’s voice sounded like a growl in her ear and Elena gave a throaty laugh, ”Funny. I only ever seem to be family when you want something. Most of the time you don’t want to know me.” she retorted a little coldly, she felt her vampire face receding as she spoke.
When Katherine let her go Elena got up off the stairs and rubbed at her wrist, now Elena was a vampire Katherine was using her whole strength on her now which she was still getting used to. Within seconds the pain was gone. It still surprised her how quickly she healed now, yesterday which she was cooking for her brother she cut herself with a knife and by the time she went to the first aid kit it was already healed up. The new healing thing she was constantly forgetting about.
Elena rolled her eyes at Katherine’s “Good mood” comment, ”I was in a good mood. I was enjoying the alone time, I don’t think I’ve had a single day alone since I was turned.” she explained as she tried to walk slower, which would look like how an average human would walk, into the living room and watched Katherine sprawl out on her sofa. When her doppelganger mentioned food and hunting Elena could feel her face changing and it took all her strength to go back to normal. She sunk into the one seater chair by the window and looked out onto the empty street, ”I’ve already had blood today. I’m not hungry.”Liar Elena was always hungry for blood now, her cravings never seemed to die down. Now she understood why Damon was always drinking.
Looking over at her twin Elena asked, ”What are you doing here so early anyway?” Getting up off the chair she went back into the kitchen, ”Shouldn’t you be stalking Stefan or whatever it is you do on a daily basis.” She said as she went back to the fridge and got out another blood back, pouring it into the same mug as before and placing it in the microwave.

Well, get up early one morning. Visits one of her family members. Soon as she walks through the door she is assaulted to the floor. What a morning she was having. Elena's strength sometimes took her by surprise. Where as when she was a human, she wouldn't of stood a chance of even tackling her to the floor. Even with the extra speed and strength she wouldn't ever be a match for Katherine. Katherine had, and always will have, 500+ years on Elena. However strength as a vampire wasn't just measure how physically strong you are. Its mental strength as well. The strength to resist the temptation of blood, the strength to control even the strongest of minds. Elena was currently lacking in both departments, just purely because she had been a vampire for less that a few months now, "I don't want anything. One day though I will walk through the door and collect for all the favours I've done." Katherine said back snidely. Katherine wasn't someone to just help Elena through her transition out of the kindness of her heart. Many would say she doesn't have one.
Katherine, once she had freed Elena turned and headed for the living room. Once there she made herself more than comfortable on the sofa. She looked at Elena when she mentioned about not having any alone time? Really? She expected to get alone time? Katherine just laughed her are- you- kidding laugh, "You really expect a full day of being alone? Good lord, all it takes is for Jeremy to cut his hand and you could go on a killing spree around Mystic Falls. Now, though it would be entertaining, cant have the food supply getting that low."Katherine joked. For a new vampire she noticed that Elena had remarkable control, better than Stefan's sometimes. For a vampire as old as he was should of had control a long time ago.
Katherine had mentioned she was willing to escort Elena out on a hunt. Soon she would be able to go herself, once she had control. Then she could choose whatever lifestyle she wanted. Humans, animals or bags. Katherine was there to make sure she didn't kill anyone. Cant have bodies left around. People would start to ask questions. When Elena said that she was fine and wasn't hungry. Katherine could tell that she was lying. However she decided not to mention it. She would be hungry again soon enough. Katherine could smell the open blood bag she just had. Even that wasn't tempting her. She had her fill of a human for today. She would just have a bag later and she would be alright until tomorrow.
Katherine stretched out on the couch moving her shoulders and looked over to Elena. Her resemblance was still startling. Like looking in a mirror half the time when she was with her. Though when out in public when people asked, they fobbed them off with a twin story. It wasn't exactly not true. They just weren't born at the same time, "I was up early. I went hunting, had a snack and was just passing by. I didn't have any particular destination in mind. " Katherine answered. She noticed Elena was getting up and once she left the room she smirked.
Once she smelled the delicious scent of blood fill the air she laughed almost too loudly, "Not hungry are we?" Katherine shouted through the house, "You could drink five of them and still wont be sated!" Katherine said as she rolled gracefully on the couch and leaned against the fridge that held just normal human things to eat, "Wont ever get to fresh.... body temperature either. " Anyone would think Katherine was baiting her and in some ways she was. It was a natural vampire instinct to hunt. She was getting the blood, but not thrill of the chase or even the added bonus of compelling someone afterwards, "Plenty of time to stalk Stefan later. I doubt he is up yet. Or I might have a little fun with Damon today. Stefan and his constant do good attitude can get rather boring. Honestly I don't know how you put up with it." Katherine shrugged, "Then again I definetely prefer goody too shoes Stefan than Ripper Stefan. Stefan was just frightening in those days." Katherine said almost wistfully. Remembering the 1920's when she watched Stefan, posing as a dancer in Gloria's club.
