Vampires are undead predators who feed and survive on the blood of the living (human or animal or even vampire too.
[/size] [li]Blood is the main component of a vampire's diet; all vampires need to drink some kind of blood for their survival. Whether it is the blood of humans or animals is up to the vampire. Vampires can suppress their bloodlust to a degree by consuming alcohol, which is said to take away the blood cravings. Powers and Abilities:[/li][li]Mind Compulsion/Mind Control: The supernatural ability to control and manipulate the body, mind, and soul of an animal or person (including vampires but only originals can control vampires). [/li][li]Emotional Control: Vampires have the ability to turn off their emotions. Being a vampire heightens the person's individual characteristics and so much emotion can be hard to deal with, so most of the vampires choose to turn it off. [/li][li]Healing Factor: The supernatural ability to heal all illnesses, injuries, and wounds at superhuman speed. [/li][li]Immortality. [/li][li]Heightened Senses. [/li][li]Super Speed. [/li][li]Super Strength. [/li][li]Dream Manipulation. Weaknesses:[/li][li]Wood: The act of wounding a vampire with wood will cause the vampire to become severely weak and if a vampire takes a wooden stake through its heart it will result in permanent death. Other uses for permanent death includes: Fire, Sunlight, Decapitation, and Heart extraction. [/li][li]Vervain: The act of exposing or ingesting a vampire with Vervain causes a vampire to become severely feverish and weak. Also, if a vampire's skin is exposed to Vervain, it results in instantly burning them. [/li][li]Uninvited Invitation: Vampires cannot enter a home without an invitation by the owner. [/li][li]Broken Neck: Though not fatal, breaking a vampire's neck will render it unconscious for several hours. [/li][li]Magic: Witches are able to inflict excruciating pain onto vampires and kill them. [/li][li]“Gilbert Device”: The “Gilbert device” extracts pain onto a vampire. [/li][li]Lack of Blood: If a vampire doesn't get enough blood, they will begin to desiccate and mummify. [/li][li]Drained of Blood: If a vampire does not have any sort of blood in their systems it will weaken them and “it will cause their veins to rub against each other like sandpaper” and it is quite painful. But if a human is near the vampire, their blood lust will be too powerful to obtain. [/li][li]Werewolf Bite: The bite of a Werewolf is extremely lethal and deadly to all vampires, except the Originals. [/li][li]Daggering an Original: If a Vampire daggers an Original, it will kill the vampire of that particular Original being daggered in the process. [/li][li]Vampire Bloodline: Vampires who were turned by an Original who turned others will die if the Original is staked by the White Oak Stake. [/li][li]Werewolf/Hybrid Attack: Werewolves and Hybrids in wolf forms are easily capable of tearing apart vampires with little to no difficulty, literally ripping them apart and devouring them. Vampire Transition:[/li][li]In order for a human to become a vampire, they must die within 24 hours after consuming vampire blood (whether by force or willingly). The nature of the human's death is irrelevant (it could be any mortal death), however the body must be preserved and able to function. Upon mortal death, the undead body will awaken in a state of transition. In order to complete the transition, within the next 24 hours, the new-born, transitioning vampire must consume an exceptional amount of human blood, or else they will eventually fade away and die. They are able to decapitate other species with a single chop and shatter windows and doors with small objects. [/li][li]Super Speed - Originals vampires are much faster than other vampires, werewolves, and humans. They are able to stop other supernatural species in their tracks and run miles in mere minutes. [/li][li]Super Senses -Vampires have extremely keen senses of hearing, sight and smell. Originals however have a much more keen sense of each. [/li][li]Super Agility - Originals possess superhuman agility. They can move, jump, climb, and run incredibly fast without difficulty or exhaustion. [/li][li]Super Healing - Originals vampires injuries heal faster than other vampires, werewolves, and humans. [/li][li]Super Durability - Originals vampires can take far more trauma than other vampires, werewolves, and humans can without much discomfort or injury. Originals can heal faster than normal vampires when exposed to Vervain, and wood does not seem to weaken them. [/li][li]Mind Compulsion - Originals vampires can compel the minds of humans, vampires, and hybrids. [/li][li]Immortality. [/li][li]Dream Manipulation - Original vampires can control dreams and subconscious. The vampires can produce and modify dreams, bestow nightmares or lucid dreaming. Other effects of this ability is the distortion of reality and trapped in the dreams. Weaknesses: [/li][li]White Oak Stake: It’s the only thing that can permanently kill an Original, It comes from an ancient white oak tree during the time of the genesis of The Originals. It was at first thought that the stake used to kill Mikael was the last white oak wood that existed, but was soon discovered by Rebekah and Klaus that there was a Sapling of the original tree to replace the old. [/li][li]Magic : If a witch has enough channelled magic, they can harm or kill an original [/li][li]White Oak Ash Dagger: A silver dagger dipped in the ash of the white oak tree will kill an original but only as long as the dagger remains in their heart. [/li][li]Stakes : Stakes will not permanently kill an original but it does neutralize them for a few hours. [/li][li]Sunlight: Sunlight also burns Originals like normal vampires, but it cannot kill them. [/li][li]Vervain: Vervain burns originals just like it does with the other vampires, although an Original will heal very fast to the point where the damage done by the Vervain is gone in seconds. They cannot compel anyone on Vervain either [/li][li]Uninvited Invitation. [/li][li]Lack of Blood: If an original doesn’t get enough blood or their heart stops pumping, their body will desiccate/[/li][/ul]

[/size] [li]Werewolves are known to be aggressive, strong and fast even in human form. They often have trouble controlling their temper. Those with the werewolf curse still latent can exhibit some supernatural traits which can be triggered by aggression, along with unusual physical strength for the person's given size and age but they cannot fully transform and they also black out they go blind with rage for no reason. Also werewolves have a higher body temperature than humans [/li][li]With the curse activated their eyes turn yellow (the eyes of a wolf) while enraged. Activating the curse is also painful. Food:[/li][li]Like normal people, werewolves can eat normal food if they choose to. However, because they turn into ferocious beasts during the full moon, they are flesh eating creatures. When they feed, it is absorbed throughout the body and they need to consume organs or body parts, but they do not have to feed in order to prolong their existence like Vampires. Werewolves have not been seen to attack each other in human or lupine form, but have been known to hunt both human and vampire prey while transformed under the full moon. Werewolves seem to have an urge to attack vampires regardless of what form they are in. Code Of Loyality:[/li][li]Werewolves are very similar to Witches when it comes to their own kind. Unlike the vampires, werewolves are more sworn to loyalty and may bond with other werewolves they meet. They work with each other as sort of an extended family. The bond of loyalty between werewolves is strangely strong, while changed under full moons, the only things they do not attack are other werewolves (triggered curse or not). This code does seem to extend to Klaus' hybrids too. It's possible that the only reason why Klaus' hybrids are loyal is because of their werewolf heritage. Appearance:[/li][li]Werewolves in their wolf form have the appearances of an ordinary wolf, but with glowing yellow eyes and a much larger and brute-like appearance. When there is the full moon after sunset they will transform into a canine form, looking very much like a timber-wolf, although larger. They can also be distinguished from regular wolves by their displays of supernatural strength, speed, and overall size. The fur colour of wolf forms differs from one to the other [/li][li]Werewolves appear the same as any other human the rest of the month, apart from the full moon. Triggering The Werewolf Curse:[/li][li]A werewolf has to kill a human in order to trigger their werewolf curse to activate their powers, regardless of the fact whether the curse was activated accidentally, or it was intentional. After the curse is triggered their eyes will turn yellow and their powers will activate instantly. Werewolf Transformation: [/li][li]A werewolf will only transform in to a wolf under a full moon. The first transformation is quite slow and the person is subjected to at least five hours of intense pain before transforming. After the first transformation it will get faster but still hurt. During the transformation, the body of the person is twisted in an unnatural manner as bones reshape and shift to form a wolf skeleton, causing the person immense pain. Later, the person grows excessive body hair and becomes feral and huge eyes that glow yellow and fangs, then in minutes the werewolf will become a wolf. A werewolf returns to their human form in after a few hours. After the first transformation the werewolf will experience muscle aches. Older werewolves can control themselves to some extent on the night of the full moon. Powers & Abilities:[/li][li]Super Strength : Werewolves are much stronger than any human. They are not as strong as a vampire whilst in human form but when it is a full moon they are more powerful than Non-Original Vampires. Under the full moon, Werewolves can use their speed in wolf form to even swiftly chase down Vampires. [/li][li]Super Agility: Werewolves possess superhuman agility. They can move, jump, climb, and run incredibly fast without difficulty or exhaustion. [/li][li]Healing Factor:Werewolves possess superhuman regenerative abilities, meaning if ever injured, their bodies will heal near instantaneously. Werewolves have also been said to heal exactly as fast as vampires. Even in human form. [/li][li]Super Senses: In both human and wolf form. [/li][li]Werewolf Bite: The bite of a Werewolf is extremely lethal to normal Vampires but not to an Original. [/li][li]Anger: When a Werewolf is furious, their anger increase all their powers and abilities for a short period of time, as well as can have an advantage over a Vampire. [/li][li]Full Moon: Werewolves' powers and abilities are enhanced and are at their peak during a full moon. [/li][li]Wolf form: Werewolves turn into ferociously violent wolves under the full moons, but they have no control over themselves. Weaknesses:[/li][li]Broken Neck: By breaking a werewolf’s neck, it results in instant death. [/li][li]Wolfsbane: When ingested, Wolfsbane causes a werewolf to become severely weak and feverish. Although, if a werewolf's skin is exposed to Wolfsbane, it can result in burning them. - Witches can be male or female.
- Magic can be split into light and dark magic.
- It is a genetic heredity, so it will be passed down throughout the entire family.
- They try to live in secret and live normal lives so they are not suspected though there’s the rarity of Witches who are too eager to show their powers.
- If a Witch is turned into a vampire all their magical powers with vanish.
Powers and Abilities:
- Channelling: The act of drawing and/or summoning extra forms of energy by focusing on celestial events.
- Conjuration: The act of calling, commanding, or summoning a certain object, person, and/or spirit already in existence.
- Elemental Control: The act of controlling and manipulating the elements of air, earth, fire, water. They can also control the weather.
- Mind Control: The act of controlling and manipulating the minds of humans. (Similar to Compulsion) Though this is limited and physically and mentally draining on the Witch.
- Mind Stunning: The act of bemusing and/or rendering a person unconscious. Again limited and draining to the Witch.
- Pain Infliction: The act of creating and inflicting excruciating pain upon another person, especially vampires.
- Possession: The ability for another being to take control of another being's form, e.g. body. Possession is different from mind control, by the fact that the being has to physically enter the other, to control them.
- Precognition: The act of foreseeing both future and past events by natural viewing.
- Spell Casting: The act of changing and/or controlling events through the use of charms, hexes, rituals, etc.
- Telekinesis: The act of controlling and manipulating the movements of objects and persons by mental influence.
- Witches Brew: The act of brewing and concocting paranormal potions that contain supernatural properties.
Weaknesses:
- Fear : A distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil, pain, etc., whether the threat is real or imagined; the condition or feeling of being afraid could cause a witch to temporarily lose their powers.
- Humanity : Based off the fact that witches are still human, they share many of the same weaknesses as non-supernatural beings (e.g. age, decapitation, disease, heart-failure, suffocation, etc.)
- Overuse of Magic: The excessive use of magic could lead a witch to death from over-exertion.
Most tools used by Witches:
- Candles : Used to amplify a Witch’s spell.
- Grimoires : A family journal documented with ancient recipes, rituals, and spells. The Grimoires get passed down from generation to generation and added to.
- Herbs and Stones: Mainly used as ingredients for brewing and concocting magical potions.
- Talismans : An amplifier for a Witch’s power. They are always strongest when they have an object to work with.
Spells and Rituals:
- The Sun and Moon Curse: The Sun and Moon Curse is an extremely powerful spell that was bewitched onto Klaus, to prevent him from triggering his werewolf powers.
- Sacrifice Ritual Spell: Phasmatos Tribum, Salve Sorce Das. Phasmatos Eliximo Nominum, Etrinox Sorce Sotero Callux Oxtara. A spell that is able to reverse the effects of The Curse of the Sun and Moon.
- Day-Walking Medallions: A spell that is able to grant a vampire the power to walk freely in the sunlight by spelling certain objects a vampire can wear everyday like a ring, necklace or earrings.
- “Gilbert Rings”: A spell that is able to prevent death to its wearer by any supernatural occurrence.
- “Gilbert Device”: A spell that is able to incapacitate vampires and werewolves, whenever it is activated.
- Tomb Spell: A spell that prevents a vampire from exiting outside of a tomb located beneath Fell’s Church.
- Tomb Counter Spell: Phasmatos Salves Nas Ex Malon,Terra Mora Vantis Quo Incandis, Et Vasa Quo Ero Signos. A spell that is able to reverse the effects of the tomb spell.
- Pentagram Spell: Incendia! A spell that is able to create a field of fire over a pentagram. It was used to destroy the Bennett Talisman.

- Hypnosis Spell: A spell that is able to hypnotize a certain person into revealing their inner secrets.

Weaknesses: [/li][li]Elena's blood: When in the transition phase, if they don't have Elena's blood, they will die. Which they can no longer obtain due to her being a vampire. [/li][li]Decapitation: The act of dismembering or removing the head of a hybrid will result in death. [/li][li]Heart Extraction: The act of removing a hybrid's heart will result in death. [/li][li]Mind Compulsion : An Original can compel Hybrids because they are half vampire and cant compel anyone on Vervain nor any other supernatural creature, only humans [/li][li]Klaus Sire Bond: Hybrids are obligated to serve Klaus because his blood created them and have limited free will, along with lack of control. Tyler is the only hybrid who has managed to break the sire bond. [/li][li]Vervain : Hybrids are affected by vervain like their vampire counterparts and cant compel anyone on vervain. [/li][li]Wolfsbane: Hybrids are affected to wolfsbane like their werewolf counterparts.
